Courses, Workshops and Retreats

The above courses are based on the book “Nonviolent Communication – A Language of Life” by Marshall B Rosenberg

Based on the book “How Then Shall We Live” by Wayne Muller

The Ten Week Course Includes:

The workshop on Self Discovery is built around four questions- The Four Questions which can change your life

  • Who am I?
    Discovering our flexible identity
  • What do I Love?
What do I love and how do I spend my time?
  • How Shall I live Knowing I will Die?
    The simplification of life
  • What is my Gift to the Family of the Earth?
How to give and receive honestly from the heart.

The workshop will include personal and group exercises all designed to help reveal who we really are and give greater meaning to our lives.

In the Introduction to Empathy workshop we look at the part empathy plays in communication. It covers the following:

  • Active listening
Listening for feelings and addressing unmet needs
  • Receiving empathically
Avoiding behavior which prevents us from being present and listening empathically
  • The power of empathy
    Receiving and dealing with anger
The need to celebrate and mourn
  • Connecting compassionately with ourselves
    Honestly listening to ourselves
    Techniques for giving self empathy

The objective of the workshop is to teach the participants how to listen empathically and to meet the needs of the other party. The participants will acquire tools to help them diffuse potential conflicts.
